A bespoke space for deep attention and soulful companionship, terrain is a an opportunity to explore your path: spritual, creative and embodied, deeply rooted in the animate world.
You will find some journal posts exploring terrain here
The writer Susan Sontag wrote in her diary:
I’m only interested in people engaged in a project of self-transformation.
It’s a characteristically hyperbolic statement, but it is always a privilege to work with those who are on a path of transformation and to walk beside them in companionable support.
Along the way we might use journalling, drawing (no skills needed) and mapping; a herbal wellness consultation to check in with where your body is in this journey; yoga nidrā, creative writing, walks, dreams and more.
We will be connecting to the terrain of body and heart, to how this relates to the land you live on, to the landscape of your creative and other work, to your daily rhythms and practices and larger cycles in your life.
You might be looking for one deep dive for clarity and direction, for support during a particular project or life event, for a time of transition… We might meet 3 or 4 times over a year…
This work is careful, individual, confidential and relies on trust. If you are interested in working with me in this way, I’ll send you some question to gather initial information and we’ll do a short discovery meeting on zoom to get a feel of whether we’d like to proceed. I’ll put an outline in writing and we’ll take it from there.
I believe passionately in connection. Along my own path, after writing 25 books across several genres I still work with trusted mentors to push my creative boundaries. Similarly I have a herbal mentor who is a senior colleague and a yoga nidrā mentor whose spiritual wisdom holds a mirror to important decisions and ways of negotiating the world. We are better together. We need one another even when we are introverts.
If you haven’t worked with me previously and want to get a feel for my work, join the Alchemical Gatherings group — it’s low cost and a good way to meet without pressure, explore the journal posts: Alchemical Wonderings (you will also find resource pages so you can explore the posts by categories in the kith, triskelewell and terrain sections of the website) and your might like to read my memoir, At the Heart’s Farthest Edge.
I look forward to hearing from you.
